So, I tend to avoid politics like the plague because half of the time, I don’t understand them, and 100% of the time, they piss me off.
However, I’m voting for the first time this year. I could just say fuck it, my vote doesn’t really matter, but I figure that there are many people around the world who would kill for the opportunity to vote, and it would be disrespectful and wasteful to take it for granted.
That being said, I have to actually start paying attention to politics. Fuck. I’m already outrageously sick of the political ads, and it’s only the beginning of August.
So, I came across a quiz on I Side With.com, which I proceeded to take, and here were my results:

I’m somewhat surprised but very confused about my results.
So, my parents are super anti-Obama, as far as Romney being the lesser of two evils this election. I tend to agree with Obama on social issues, like gay rights/marriage and abortion laws, and absolutely hate Romney’s stance on the two (and others). However, my dad has been trying to explain to me a bit more about the two candidates’ economic and business policies, which, to be fair, I don’t know jack shit about.
I need someone relatively unbiased to sit me down and give me the pros and cons of the two candidates. I hate this shit.
Side note: it pisses me off that eight candidates are running, but it will inevitably only come down to one republican and one democrat, just like always. That’s not a real election.
Another side note: for a while I was thinking that we should all just vote for Ron Paul and let the poor guy win already, especially because he can’t possibly do worse than Romney or Obama. We’re going to hate whoever is in office regardless. After the quiz, though, I suppose not…
What are your results on the I Side With quiz?
